Title: Sharepoint Architect/Lead

Location: Washington DC

Duration: 6 Months

 

Skills / Duties:

The Senior SharePoint Architect will lead the technical delivery and design of SharePoint solutions for the ITSOP department in the Group. Working closely with the Enterprise Architecture unit, the SharePoint Architect will help shape the strategy, architecture, methodology and standards for delivering SharePoint 2010/2013 solutions.  The position will be responsible for SharePoint solution architecture, technical design specifications, coding, test and implementation plans.

This position is part of the application development team which develops Web applications and customizations to existing business applications. The Bank is leveraging SharePoint to automate and socialize business processes to improve knowledge sharing and collaboration across the organization. The Senior SharePoint Architect will assist in driving the Bank to meet these goals.

Qualified candidates must have excellent technical, analytical, organizational, and programming skills. At least five to ten years of experience analyzing, designing, and delivering SharePoint 2010/2013 solutions. The Senior SharePoint Architect will report to the Lead Information Officer.

Essential Job Functions

·         Lead large-scale technical projects, working with clients to gather requirements, scope technical efforts, determine solutions, set up project tasks/plans, and then implement those solutions.

·         Perform highly complex analysis, architecture, design, development, delivery and testing of solutions

·         Perform gap analysis and data analysis.

·         Analyze project requirements and develop detailed design objectives and develop architectural documents and system design documents.

·         Job Requirements

·         5 - 10 years of experience as a SharePoint Architect in the analysis, architecture, design, development and delivery of web and/or mobile applications.

·         Experience in SharePoint 2013 and leveraging cloud based approaches.

·         Experience in leveraging SharePoint for social collaboration.

·         5-7 years full lifecycle SharePoint Server and Windows SharePoint Services architecture, implementation, upgrade, migration and deployment experience including creating custom web parts in SharePoint 2010/2013.

·         Experience with integrating line of business and 3rd party systems; client application services deployment.

·         Expert knowledge in SharePoint Infrastructure, Application, Search and Integration architecture.

·         Experience in the analysis, design, implementation and support of large complex SharePoint implementations.

·         In depth experience with Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process and Forms, and/or Business Intelligence.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas clearly and simply to clients and senior level business technology decision makers.

·         Technical expertise within MS SharePoint is required, especially the content, web and portal aspects:

 

·         Architecture, understanding of out of the box vs. coding tradeoffs; knowledge of available third party components

·         Development experience with SharePoint designer, Visual Studio and C#, AJAX methods such as jQuery ;

·         Customizing SharePoint visual design; design of navigation and UI including custom list views,  etc.

·         Requirements and Solution Design using SharePoint including forms & approval type of applications including use of SharePoint, Nintex and Visual Studio Workflow; form security 

·         Requirements and Solution Design of content based applications including knowledge of content types, managed metadata: termstore and designing web/document based solution leveraging this models

·         Knowledge of SharePoint search including facets, custom search

·         Integration of SharePoint with third party systems using web services, custom lists, workflow and other techniques

·         Knowledge of managing SharePoint code and site configuration management, code deployment models in coordination with various technical leads, take responsibility for aspects of the design, development and implementation of critical applications managed by the Operations Products team. These activities may span the full life cycle of projects.Specialties
