Job Title : Network Admin
Location : Dallas,TX
Duration : 6+ Months Contract
 
Discription:
Must-haves
5 years experience in network administration and/or network security.
Demonstrated knowledge of security principles and best practices,
Experience monitoring and configuring intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
Experience with security patch distribution, security scanning applications, anti-virus applications, and Active Directory
Good exposure on firewall technologies - Cisco ASA/PIX, Juniper Firewall, Checkpoint Power-1, Checkpoint UTM-1 and Checkpoint Provider-1
Good understanding on SIEM tools
Good exposure on NIPS technology
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills
Strong written and verbal communications skills with the demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with peers and communicate at all levels within the organization
Proficient analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills - Bachelors degree in MIS, CIS or related field is preferred

Plusses
CCSE or other OEM equivalent certification is preferred

Day-to-Day
Provide security administration for select IT Security applications and associated accounts.
Perform regularly scheduled security reviews (e.g., technology, operations and personnel).
Participate in designing and managing the IT Security strategy.
Perform regularly scheduled software upgrades/updates to ensure compliance.
Consult with users to determine requirements, and provide security solutions to meet needs.
Assist with projects involving network security issues and requirements.
Perform firewall changes as approved by the Change Control Board
Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned.
