It is appalling that in a world that overproduces food (for 9-10 billion people although we have only 7 billion), that half are underfed, a billion are overfed or obese, while a billion suffer starvation. And a world that has so much land, most of which is unsuitable for agriculture, yet no room is made for the homeless. -- So that this is what some of the poorest have to resort to ......



HOME IN A TOMB, 2013. Bratislav Stojanovic, a homeless man, holds candles as he sits in a tomb where he lives in southern Serbian town of Nis.




HOME IN A CAGE, 2013  - 77-year-old Yeung Ying Biu sits inside his 16 square feet (4'X4') cage, which he calls home, in Hong Kong.  Some 100,000 people in the former British colony live in what's known as inadequate housing, according to the Society for Community Organization, a social welfare group.
