As-Salam Alaikum,

It is narrated from Abu Huraira, Anas ibn Malik and Abdur Rahman ibn Awf that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "If a woman prays five times a day, fasts the month of Ramadan, guards her chastity and obeys her husband it would be said to her, 'Enter Paradise from any door of Paradise that you want'". [Reported by Ibn Hibban, Tabarani, Ahmad and Bazzar and authenticated by Sh. Al-Albani]

Vocabulary from the Hadith

Her five (meaning, her five prayers).

Her month (meaning, the month of Ramadan).

Her private parts.

Her husband.

Lessons from the Hadith

- Allah says in the Quran, "If you avoid the major sins which you are forbidden, We will remove from you your lesser sins and admit you to a noble entrance [into Paradise]." [Surah Nisa, 31]
It is clear from the hadith and the ayah (and other similar ayaat and ahadith) that if a person fulfills their obligations and refrains from major sins, Allah will show mercy and admit him/her into paradise.
- We notice how important it is for a woman to obey her husband, as it is mentioned along with prayer, fasting and guarding of chastity. However, a general principle of the Shari'ah is, "لا طاعة لمخلوق في معصية الخالق – There is no obedience to the creation if there is disobedience to the Creator".
- If it is said, "Since zakat is not mentioned in the hadith, does it mean that women don't have to pay zakat?" then the answer would be that there are other texts from the Qur'an and Sunnah that make Zakat obligatory for all Muslims, male and female. This hadith is merely highlighting some of those obligations.

 Allah Hafiz.
