Save the Children has worked continuously in Pakistan since 1979 and has served Pakistani children and families through relief and long-term development programmes. Working with governments, international organizations, and local community partners, we strive to create lasting change with improvements in policy and services that protect children.
The need to provide systemic protection to children has been under consideration for a long time. Organisations working on child rights including international and national have been debating on formulating the best possible safety measures to protect children against all types of harm and abuse.
Save the Children is holding a "Child Protection Conference" in Islamabad on Dec 27, 2012 in Hotel Margala (10 am- 1:30 pm). The objective of the Conference is to review and devise pragmatic responses to build efficient and effective child protection responses while taking into account local context, bridging gaps in specific child protection issues within a broader framework of legal and policy reforms. The Conference will be attended by participants from all over Pakistan including government officials and civil society representatives.
The venue of the Child Protection Conference is Hotel Margala in Islamabad from 9 30am to 1 30pm.
