Title: Solution Architect

Location: Bay Area

Duration: 6 + Months

 

Job Description:

This is an exciting and challenging Solution Architect position. This individual will be responsible for defining, simplifying, integrating and automating workflows for engineering tools and radically solving engineering product development, integration, and release throughput. This role involves envisioning, positioning and developing end-to-end Workflow Automation and Orchestration plans, design and architecture of workflows and platform/framework (SaaS, PaaS). This role will interface with other engineering tools teams, engineering development community, release engineering, etc. to understand the current state of the workflows and comewith the business proposal and plan to transform into future state.

 

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of architecting, integrating, automating and rolling out complex engineering workflow systems with SOA, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), and Workflow Technologies (BPEL/BPMN). In addition, the Solution Architect will also:

 

Work with cross-functional teams to understand the current state of the engineering workflows

Create business proposal, design and architecture to simplify and transform engineering workflows

Be able to articulate technology and business concepts to management and technical decision makers

Works across broad team of engineers to design and implement solutions

Create and review requirement, design and functional specifications documents

 

Ideal Candidate Profile:

 

·         8+ years of experience in software design, architecture and implementation

·         Technical architecture knowledge and hands-on experience in rolling out complex engineering workflow systems

·         Solid understanding of SOA/Web Services, JMS, ESB/EAI distributed architecture

·         Ability to present to technical management teams complex Engineering Workflows and translate into Business Objectives

·         Good writing and presentation skills

·         Ability to work in a highly matrix organization

·         Self Directed and works with minimum supervision

·         Expertise in engineering business architecture areas including business process design and governance

·         Clearly demonstrates thought leadership in tackling multiple, complex issues to create effective and scalable solutions

·         Business Process Management (BPM) Platform - activiti, Apache ODE

·         Service Registry: WSO2, JUDDI

·         NoSQL Database: Cassandra

·         Continuous Integration: Jenkins/Hudson

·         SOA, Web services, SOAP, UDDI, REST

·         XML, XSLT, Xquery, XPATH
