IISD's Summary of the 4th Session of the Open Working Group on Sustainable Development Goals

The fourth session of the UN General Assembly Open Working Group (OWG) on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) took place from 17-19 June 2013, at UN Headquarters in New York. The meeting brought together OWG members, other member states, observers, and representatives from UN agencies and Major Groups. The meeting was devoted to addressing the thematic issues of: (a) employment and decent work for all, social protection, youth, education and culture and (b) health, population dynamics. SIWI launches the Stockholm Statement Digital Forum

In September 2013 the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) will submit the Stockholm Statement to the 68th UN General Assembly. The objective of this paper is to influence and elevate the status of water in the post-2015 development agenda. This open forum exists to facilitate contributions to the Stockholm Statement, which will be calling for a Sustainable Development Goal on Water.
