Anwaar Feroze and I used to live in the same area in Rawalpindi  in mid-70's and later in mid-80s till early 90's. In those days Rawalpindi was a very neat clean  calm quiet peaceful romantic,   garrison hilly city. Its  clear blue  skies in October after monsoon rains  with a few scattered  white clouds hovering over Karakurram, Hindukash and Himalayan ranges were a treat to watch. The full moon was simply mesmirising.  The  long winter rains in December, January and early February  with below zero temperature had their peculiar charm, thrill, culture and fascination.
 
My association with late Anwaar Feroze deepened as we used to travel together from Liaquat Chowk to Islamabad, mostly  for National Assembly/Senate sessions. He was very loving, helpful to all of us. Like Saud Sahir, myself, Anwar Feroze was also a foot soldier of the problem.
 
 Anwar Feroze, Saud Sahir, Ikram Sheikh, Sabri, Syed Shabbir Hussain, Muslehuddin,  Mumtaz Hameed Rao, Shakoor Tahir,  Azhar Masood,  Raja Asghar, Absar Sahib, Bhatti , Farooq Aqdas, Mansoori Sahib, Ziauddin Saheb, Shorash Malik,  Tariq Warsi Saheb, Shahid Saleem Butt, Ehtesham, Farooq Usmani,   were the gem and jewels of our profession those days. Though poorly paid and fed,  with the exception of a few ,  they  hpheld highest ethics and traditions of our profession. Anwaar was also a noted poet and critic of Urdu literature. He was a regulator contributor to  respected  Adab-e-Latif
 
May Allah Almighty grant them long and healthy life who are still among us. We should honour them. Please forgive me if I have forgotten some names.

I used to meet him before or after event and later his sons when they entered in the field of journalism and a time came when he left his field work and now he left all of us. May Almighty Allah grant peace to his soul and Sabar to his family.
