The masjid is the heart of Muslims, providing much more than a place of worship. Many also offer Islamic education and are often a base from which essential community services are delivered. 

The first and foremost duty performed by the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam) upon entering Madinah at the time of emigration was to build a Masjid. 

Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam) said, 

'Whosoever builds a house (masjid) for the pleasure of Allah, whether it be small or large, Allah builds for him a house in Paradise.' [at-Tirmidhi, Ibn Khuzaymah, Ibn Hibban, Abu Dawud, and Ahmad] 


The Masjids of Allah shall be maintained only by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat and fear none but Allah. It is they who are on true guidance. (The Quran: At-Taubah,Verse18). 


Historical Masjid Details :


Name               : Jama Masjid & Eidgah Raushan-Ud-Daulah
Address           : Near Balapur Village, Saroornagar Mandal, Hyderabad

Its an Historical Mosque built almost 400 years ago by Nawab Raushan-Ud-Daulah, but was in a deserted condition since many years. In the year 2003, Janab Mohammed Mahboob Shareef Sahab (President Managing Committee) recolonized this Mosque after making many hard efforts by dealing with DRDL Authorities, Local Non-Muslims, Land-grabbers. He established Eidgah, and carried out many developmental works at the Mosque premises. Also manage the affairs of the Mosque till today's date. However as the Mosque is too old, it requires great care and attention. The condition of the Mosque can be seen in the below photos. Plants have grown in its walls and all plaster is falling off. Often the Managing Committee approached Wakf Board and Government departments, but they denied to come forward for our support. This is the need of the Hour and we are afraid that if this work isn't taken up immediately, there could be serious threat to Masjid structure. One can easily understand that Maintenance work itself is so difficult and expensive in today's world, if some serious damage happens to it, no one would be in a position to re-built it. Considering the situation, the Managing committee have decided to approach pious, generous Muslims and request them to come forward and help them in getting the plastering work done from outside and inside the Mosque. Below are few photos of Mosque Raushan-Ud-Daulah. (Outside and Inside View)

Nature of Work:

Complete Plastering Work Outside & Inside the Masjid.

Material Required:

1. Cement Bags: 90 Each Cost: INR 250/-   (90 x 250 = INR 22,500/-)

2. Sand: 8 Lorries -- Each Cost: INR 9500/- (10 x 9500 = INR 76,000/-)

3. Two Steel Kalash on the top of Mosque. No. 2 Each Cost INR 12,000/- (2 x 12000 = 24,000/-)

Approx. duration of Work: 3 Weeks

1. Mason (Mestri) No. 3. Daily Wages: INR. 450/- (3 x 21 x 450 = INR 28,350)  
    Labors No. 4 ----------- Daily Wages: INR. 350/- (4 x 21 x 350 = INR 29,400)  

Total Expenditure: INR 1,80,250/- 
(In Words: Rupees One Lakh Eighty Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty Only)

Kaleem Bhai & myself will look after the renovation work of masjid. 

It is an excellent form of Sadaqah Jariyah as the donor can expect to receive rewards as long as the Masjid is standing and as long as people worship there.
